In northern Florida, Amelia Island offers beautiful beaches, award-winning accommodations and fun for the entire family. A unique mix of southern charm and Floridian culture, Amelia Island quickly becomes a favorite destination for many first-time visitors, prompting them to revisit year after year.
If this is your first time visiting the island, you’ll find lots to see and explore, but where do you go when you're hungry? Try one of these five restaurants or cafes — you might just discover a favorite spot to return back to, time and time again.
1. Start your day with a fresh cup of joe (and maybe a sweet treat or two) at Amelia Island Coffee
Amelia Island Coffee is a local favorite that’s been a community staple for nearly two decades. In addition to the hot and cold coffee and espresso drinks, you’ll also find fresh pastries and breakfast and lunch served until early afternoon. From biscotti to biscuits and gravy, you’re sure to see something to tempt you here.

3. Head to The Amelia Tavern for dinner
When dinnertime rolls around (or suppertime, since we’re in the South), The Amelia Tavern offers classic American pub fare paired with brews from Amelia Island Brewing Company. Since the tavern is the brewing company’s main location, you can expect a wide selection of fresh brews — just the thing to hit the spot after a day spent exploring in the Florida sun.

As soon as you lay eyes on The Beech Street Grill, you’ll be charmed. This upscale eatery with its picturesque front porch serves a delectable menu of southern favorites and seafood, all with a high-end twist. Think fried green tomatoes served with a spinach and fire-roasted red pepper salad, drizzled in a basaltic reduction, or fried oysters with a horseradish hollandaise.
