Carefree, Cave Creek & No. Scottsdale, AZ, Guide and Information

In the Sedona Desert, Carefree, Cave Creek and North Scottsdale exist right outside of the larger and busier Phoenix and Scottsdale areas. If you’re already headed to the latter for some reason, the three former cities make an excellent side trip, especially if you want to experience Arizona culture away from all of the traveler-centric hubbub that exists in the larger metros.

While you’re there, experience the hiking and golf courses, ATV excursions and cactus gardens, but don’t forget to also do a bit of shopping. You’ll find loads of unique, indie boutiques that are the perfect spot to pick up something for someone special back home, or a souvenir for yourself.

Within a half-hour’s drive from Phoenix/Scottsdale, one of America’s most significant metropolitan areas, you can find yourself in the middle of the Old West, the likes of which you see in some of the world’s most famous westerns. Carefree, Cave Creek & North Scottsdale make for a great add-on to any trip to the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.

The dichotomy that exists between the cowboy/biker town of Cave Creek and the more stylin’ artsy scene of Carefree assures lots of options for all kinds of travelers. Make sure wherever you find yourself, you check out the variety of desert panoramas within this lightly populated area. Note that North Scottsdale, known for its top resorts, also exudes a terrific Western feel albeit with a much grander, more polished approach.

From shopping opportunities and top-notch spas to delightful drinking and dining, Carefree, Cave Creek & North Scottsdale have a lot to offer.
