When you think of Daytona Beach, what do you imagine? A spring break-ready vacay destination? Race cars? Biker rallies? Well, while Daytona Beach may be known for a variety of things, you may be surprised to find that this northern Florida destination is quite family-friendly and affordable, too. Plus, there are some great spots to eat while you’re exploring the area.

1. The Crab Stop
Every beach vacation requires a few seafood feasts. At The Crab Stop, you can enjoy your crab cooked a plethora of ways. The bib restaurant encourages you to dig in with both hands, serving up delicious seafood in mammoth portions. For more crabby goodness, visit Crabby’s Oceanside, located just steps from the water. Outdoor dining, live music and a casual atmosphere make this restaurant a great pick for a delicious dinner after a day spent on the beach. The menu includes a huge variety of all sorts of seafood, from conch fritters to oysters, clam chowder to fried grouper. For those who don’t care for seafood, other options range from wings to burgers.

3. Don Pepper's Mexican Grill and Cantina
