Here are some of our top picks for some of the best restaurants in Flagstaff.
1. The McMillan Bar and Kitchen
Situated within a historic, 19th-century bank building, this old downtown Flagstaff restaurant is near some of the city’s top sites, making it a convenient stop for when you’re hungry for a happy hour deal or late-night dinner (the restaurant is open until midnight on the weekends). Choose from an array of specialty craft cocktails, as well as a handful of sandwiches, tacos and salads.
2. Proper Meats + Provisions
Serving locally-sourced artisan meats and charcuterie, Proper Meats + Provisions is your place to go for a delicious lunch before exploring the rest of Flagstaff. The range of sandwiches on offer is extensive and includes some pretty impressive options you won’t find elsewhere in the area, such as banh mi, po’ boys, patty melts, muffuletta and more. You’ll even find some creative hot dog options on the menu.
3. Altitudes Bar & Grill
Another downtown Flagstaff favorite, Altitudes has been feeding hungry diners for nearly two decades. Snag a table on the patio for a spot of people-watching alongside your meal. The menu includes a range of sandwiches and wraps, but some of the more standout items on the menu include a loaded baked potato entree and the fried walleye.
4. The Toasted Owl Cafe
The Toasted Owl Cafe is your pet-friendly place to go for not just the amazing vegan and gluten-free options, as well as the affordable brunch beverages, but also for finding a unique souvenir. There are two locations in Flagstaff, so locate the one nearest you and sit down to enjoy delightful options like the Horned Nest of Goodness (a platter of french toast, bacon or sausage, chicken strips and fries) or the classic owl burger, topped with New York white cheddar.
5. Atria Modern Kitchen
For something a little more upscale or maybe a special occasion dinner during your trip, make a reservation at Atria Modern Kitchen. Serving farm-fresh, house-made meals with a highly-acclaimed chef at the helm, this restaurant is sure to impress.
