Exploring all the wonders and outdoor adventure that The Grand Canyon offers will most definitely work up an appetite. When you’re ready to chow down (and, in some cases, with a stellar view of the Canyon), be sure to grab a table at one of these best places to eat in the Grand Canyon, Arizona area.
1. Arizona Steakhouse
This steakhouse offers nearly wall-to-wall views of the Canyon, plus American eats in an upscale setting. Menu items range from salads to steaks, seafood to vegan and vegetarian options. This restaurant fills up fast, though, so be sure to make your reservations about a month in advance.

2. Yavapai Tavern
For something a little more casual, and with outdoor seating, head to Yavapai Tavern. Grab a drink and enjoy some wings, pizza or a burger, along with a game of corn hole or, if you’re lucky and arrive on the right day and time, some live music.

3. El Tovar Dining Room
Another more high-end option, this white tablecloth restaurant within a resort offers elegant dining in a lodge-like setting, complete with a roaring hearth. Make your reservations and then get ready to enjoy delicious entrée options like the braised lamb shank served with parmesan polenta, or the oven-roasted half duck with wild rice pilaf and a sour cherry demi sauce.

4. Big E Steakhouse & Saloon
For big Western roadhouse vibes, try Big E Steakhouse & Saloon. Of course, steak is the name of the game here, but you can find other options on the menu as well, like burgers, ribs and pasta. Make sure to try one of the signature cocktails with your meal, like the Sally Ann Thunder Whirlwind, made with mango vodka, coconut rum, pineapple juice and cranberry juice.

5. We Cook Pizza and Pasta
If you don’t need anything fancy and you’re really just craving a slice, try the ultra-casual We Cook Pizza and Pasta. Obviously, the focus for this restaurant is — what else? — pizza and pasta. The house-made pizza dough is mixed up fresh, daily, and, while you can make your own pizza with the toppings of your choice, you can also order specialty pizzas, like the chicken, bacon and artichoke pie, or the hot wing chicken pie.

6. Plaza Bonita Grand Canyon
Being so close to the border, you’re sure to find some authentic and tasty Mexican eats in this region of the country. Stop by Plaza Bonita for all your favorite Mexican classics, like enchiladas, fajitas, burritos, chimichangas and more. Someone in your party not keen on Mexican eats? They can still find burgers and salads on the menu, too.
7. The Coronado Room
Located within Squire Resort at The Grand Canyon, this fine dining spot is a great option for a special date night during your trip or a celebration meal. Expect tasty entrees like Berkshire pork loin with blue corn polenta cakes, or herb salt-crusted prime rib with au jus. Save room for dessert, like the flan with caramel or the hot chocolate chip cookies topped with ice cream.
