Silvio was born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY and has a passion for the city he grew up in. The geography is unlike anywhere else in the world; A landscape shaped thousands of years ago during the last glacial period. Freshwater from 4 of the 5 Great Lakes travels down the Niagara River, flowing over hypnotic waterfalls, into the treacherous Niagara Gorge. The Niagara River continues through Class IV Whirlpool Rapids, some of the most dangerous waters in the world, before entering the Niagara Whirlpool! Being near the water gives you a tranquil feeling of duality - completely at peace with mother nature, while still being reminded how powerful and unforgiving our planet is.

After college, Silvio became aware how frequently visitors to the local area were having difficulty seeking out basic travel information. This led him to launch a Discover Map in his hometown! As a Niagara Falls native, his goal is to help show the millions of visitors to the area all that there is to see and do here on the American Side! He never grows tired of hearing how popular the maps are with travelers!
