With Savannah’s southern hospitality in spades, there is no shortage when it comes to finding a warm and welcoming place to stay in this city. From historic hotels to (supposedly) haunted properties, from bed and breakfasts to luxury hotels from favorited international brands, you can find a little bit of it all as you peruse the area’s accommodations options. For a quick look at some of the best of the best, though, you’ll want to keep reading.
Here are six of the best places to stay in Savannah and nearby Tybee Island.
The Alida Hotel offers a rooftop bar and a great location.
The hotel is a fashionable property that has received top marks from travel publications for its hip amenities that include a whiskey bar, saltwater pool and daily brunch. The guest rooms are airy, spacious and so comfortable you won't want to leave.

The River Street Inn is an historic property that dates back several hundred years.
The hotel sits within a converted cotton warehouse in the city’s historic district on the river. But for all its history, the guest rooms are beautifully updated. Guest rooms feature large wall-to-wall murals, pleasant street views, four-poster beds and exposed brick walls. There are four local restaurants on-site, too, so you’ll never go hungry.

The Mansion on Forsyth Park is new — sort of.
The building dates to the 1800s and is gorgeous, with its red brick exterior and elegant furnishings, but only recently became a hotel, in the early 2000s. Now, it offers an array of unique experiences, thanks to features like an on-site art gallery, cooking classes and more.

For a historic setting on Tybee Island, look to Surf Song Bed & Breakfast
The hotel is situated in a Victorian mansion that dates back more than a century. Book the Sunrise Suite for unbeatable views of the water and, on a clear day, views that take you all the way to Hilton Head. Whichever room you choose, you’ll be just steps from the beach and all of Tybee Island’s dining and summer fun.

DeSoto Beach Bed & Breakfast may not be as old as Surf Song (though it is still nearly 100 years old), but it is the closest bed and breakfast to the beach.
Choose from a handful of spacious rooms with ocean views and enjoy amenities such as daily southern-style breakfasts, daily cheese hours, free parking and access to a game room and beach gear.

Beachview Bed & Breakfast offers quite a few suites across its large property.
You’ll find multi-room suites with private entrances to rooms situated in the B&B’s spa building. Speaking of, the property’s salt spa is not to be missed, offering a range of favorite spa treatments, from signature facials to salt room sessions.
